The Jagiellonian University

The Jagiellonian University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe, having been founded by King Casimer the Great in the 14th Century.  Among its most famous alumni are Nicolas Copernicus and Pope John Paul II.  The law faculty is regarded as one of the finest in Central Europe.

The University is located in Cracow, an ancient royal city famous for its architectural beauty and cultural heritage. Cracow's historic center houses the largest medieval Market Square in Europe and the impressive Wawel castle. The Jewish Quarter, where parts of "Schindler's List" was filmed, reminds visitors of the Jewish contribution to Polish culture and history. A city on UNESCO
's World Natural and Cultural Heritage list, Cracow is a vibrant, beautiful and historically significant center of Eastern and Central European culture.
