Commencement Ceremony The Law School commencement ceremony will be held on Friday, May 23, at 2 p.m. in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, with a reception to follow on the law school lawn. The graduates' processional will enter the church at 1:50 p.m. The commencement exercises will last approximately one and one-half hours. Our Commencement Speaker will be The Honorable Samuel A. Alito, Jr., Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Professor Heather Elliott has been selected by the Class of 2008 to serve as the faculty marshal, and Katie Acuff, ’08 has been chosen to deliver the address on behalf of the graduates.
