ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN LAW STUDENTS ASSOCIATION: The Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA) of The Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law was established in 1985 to promote awareness of contemporary issues which affect Asian Pacific Americans. APALSA is a racially diverse student organization and has an open membership policy. APALSA sponsors lectures and panel discussions on a wide range of political, social, and legal topics. APALSA also engages in community service projects and works closely with members of the Asian Pacific Bar Association and is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
