CUA Law in D.C.
Washington, D.C., is the ideal setting for the study of law. As the epicenter of the nation's legal institutions, it is home to federal agencies, trade associations, public interest groups, corporations, and hundreds of private law firms.
Studying law in the nation's capital enables students to experience numerous aspects of the legal profession. The city affords daily opportunities to view lawmaking processes firsthand. Students can observe the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and also regulatory agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. The United States Supreme Court and other federal and local courts provide insight into the judicial system. Federal administrative agencies and executive departments permit students to observe at close range the processes of American political and legal systems. The Library of Congress and several other special collections offer the best research resources in the world.
Washington's cosmopolitan downtown section, with its museums, galleries, theaters, parks, pubs and restaurants, offers students diverse cultural exchanges and social experiences.
At The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, our goal is to create a community of learning rich in multicultural diversity. Soliciting applicants from an array of racial, religious, social and ethnic backgrounds, cultivates an educational environment where free thought in the marketplace of ideas is not only encouraged, but the norm.
